The Hancock County Prosecutor is responsible for a wide range of legal functions for the County, including:
Act as the chief law enforcement official in the County.
Review, authorize, and prosecute violations of adult felony criminal laws of the State of Ohio committed inside the County.
Authorize and prosecute felony and misdemeanor juvenile delinquency offenses.
Represent and advise the board of county commissioners, board of elections, and all other county officers and boards.
Protection and recovery of public funds and property.
Protection of county against illegal or fraudulent contracts.
