Prosecutor

The Hancock County Prosecutor is responsible for a wide range of legal functions for the County, including:

  • Act as the chief law enforcement official in the County.
  • Review, authorize, and prosecute violations of adult felony criminal laws of the State of Ohio committed inside the County.
  • Authorize and prosecute felony and misdemeanor juvenile delinquency offenses.
  • Represent and advise the board of county commissioners, board of elections, and all other county officers and boards.
  • Protection and recovery of public funds and property.
  • Protection of county against illegal or fraudulent contracts.
