Board Members

Members are appointed to the Board of Health for a five (5) year term by the District Health Advisory Council, which is composed of the Mayors of Hancock County Villages, and the Chairmans of each Hancock County Township.

The Board of Health appoints Health Department staff and determines their duties and salaries.  The Health Commissioner is the Executive Officer for the Board of Health.  The Commissioner and his staff carry out the orders and regulations made by the Board, enforce the public health laws and regulations of the State of Ohio.

Board of Health Meetings

The Hancock County Board of Health meetings are held at the following times and location:

Third Friday of Every Month : 7:30 a.m.
Hancock Public Health Department
2225 Keith Parkway
Findlay, Ohio 45840  

Meetings are open to the public, however, if you need to address the Board of Health, you must be added to the agenda. To be added to the agenda, you must submit your request in writing to the Health Commissioner by the Friday before the next scheduled meeting. Due to limited time and in order to allow for the Board to consider monthly official business, all oral communications are limited to a time period not to exceed (5) minutes.
