The Hancock County Prosecutor is responsible for a wide range of legal functions for the County, including:
Act as the chief law enforcement official in the County.
Review, authorize and prosecute violations of felony and misdemeanor criminal laws of the State of Ohio committed inside the County.
Authorize and prosecute felony & misdemeanor juvenile delinquency offenses.
Represent and advise the board of county commissioners, board of elections and all other county officers and boards.
President of the county board of trustees.
Member of the county budget commission.
Protection and recovery back of public funds and property.
Protection of county against illegal or fraudulent contracts.
