*****The Landfill will return to Winter Hours on October 30, 2023.*****
Those hours will be:
Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Saturday: 7:00 am - 11:30 am
***All loads must be Covered/Secured while enroute to AND returning from the Landfill. The Fee for an uncovered/unsecured load is $25.00.

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2022
There will be an additional charge of $12.00 per Mattress, $12.00 per Box Spring and $12.00 per Sleeper Sofa. This will be in addition to the charge by weight.
The landfill has a minimum charge of $15.00, which covers the disposal of up to 800 pounds of waste. After 800 lbs. a charge of $1.50 per 100 lbs. will apply.
Cost per ton for municipal trash (generated within Hancock County) is $37.75, which includes fee's.
Guidelines:
*The landfill does accept televisions of all types and sizes. "Old style" projection and tube televisions.
**Household furniture can be disposed of at our facility.**
*Asphalt shingles, drywall, construction debris are all accepted, but no debris containing any type of asbestos is permitted.*
WE CANNOT accept AG Tires of any type, Brush, Yard Waste, Infectious or Hazardous Waste Materials.
The Hancock County Sanitary Landfill is permitted as a Municipal Solid Waste Landfill facility. This means that the facility can accept municipal and industrial solid waste.
The landfills operating permit was issued in compliance with Federal Subtitle “D” regulations. To satisfy the Ohio EPA requirements, Steven C. Wilson P.E., P.S., has been contracted by the Hancock County Board of Commissioners to act as sanitary engineer for the landfill.
