Recycling Bins

*If the recycling bins at your preferred location is FULL, please use the map to locate another donation site. Flatten all boxes and close lids for extended recycling unit availability. Leaving materials on the ground is illegal. Local recycling sites are listed below or view/print the attached recycling location map.

Hancock County Solid Waste Management District oversees multiple recycling donation sites through out Hancock CountyRumpke Recycling Container.
Collecting recyclable materials is essential for saving space in our local sanitary landfill as well as protecting our natural resources. Sadly, not everything can be recycled and there are limits on what can be processed.

End-of-Life Textiles Bins (located at Recycling Hub)

Clothing Bin

Use these bins to donate landfill-bound clothing, cloth bags, and shoes.  End of life items would include torn belts, individual socks, stained shirts, handbags without straps, jeans with holes, shoes with missing soles, damaged bed-sheets etc. These items will be diverted from the landfill and given the opportunity of another life as either insulation, rags, asphalt, etc.  The SWMD encourages donations to support local charities if the items still have a usable purpose.
This Clothes & Shoe Recycling Bin is for textiles that no longer have charitable value.  Do not put textiles in Rumpke Recycling bins.
