NOTICE OF SEALING AND EXPUNGMENT AND DESTRUCTION OF JUVENILE CASES
Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Sections 2151.355, 2151.356, 2151.357, 2151.358 and Sup. R. 26.03(1) though (5), the Hancock County Juvenile Court, upon its own motion, will proceed with the sealing and expungement of records that are misdemeanor juvenile traffic records and non-violent misdemeanor delinquent and unruly records of all youth who have attained the age of twenty-three (23).
In addition to the offenses listed in Ohio Revised Code Section 2151.356(C)(1), offenses of violence, offenses of a sexual nature, all felony level offenses and offenses involving operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be sealed upon the Court’s own motion. If you have charges such as these, you must petition the Court.
